Run 165 - A chilly morning in the Heights

April 20, 2024

Here we are into spring and we have a bit of a cold snap.  It was 23° when I met Shelley in the Heights at Medicine Crow middle school for our. Saturday morning run.  Today’s course takes us to the east and south of the school and, by the looks of the map, appears to be a boring run.

The first street was off Barrett and led to a new construction zone.  Shelley wanted to use the potty and when she went past the No Tresspassing Sign an alarm went off.  OK, so we ran around the bloc and approached from a different direction.

On the way we say these guys.

The potty is on the right, on this side of the sign.

I noticed that they are calling these “Patio Home Apartments.”  Hmmm…

Going south of Hawthorne.

I guess won’t run that dead end street.

Some new places on Wicks.  They don’t even look residential.

Some nice yard art.

We had to do some distance on Main Street.

On Anchor we ran past this field that had lots of active prairie dogs.

More yard art on Bench.

We headed down Lynch to do the out and back but never got to the end with this guy’s truck stinking up the place.

Back to the middle school.

I call this a devil of a run with the distance we ended up with.
