Run 164 - Just north of the Metra

April 15, 2024

A nice day to get in a short run in Billings Heights.  It’s a bit windy but the temperature is great so I parked at Two Moon Park’s upper lot and headed out on this route:

Looking southwest on the bike path as I crossed it.

Looking northeast.

Heading toward Main Street on Bench.

Sacrifice Cliff, the Yellowstone River, and the sewage treatment plant.

Alkali Creek as seen from the crossing on Bench.

Passing by Metra Park on the right.

The Yellowstone Trail used to run through town and there are still few indications.

Main is a busy street.  And noisy.

Looking back on the Metra complex.

This group was having a get together.

The end of Lake Elmo Drive could use a sidewalk.

Looking north on Liberty.

Some new work.

Looking south on Liberty.

The best yard art of the day.

The back side of the church on Griffing Drive.

It’s rather rural here on Griffing.

The other side of that new construction.

Heading down to Two Moon Park.

The Yellowstone River.

The trail back up to the parking lot.

It was a pleasant enough run except for the busy streets so it was nice to end it along the river.  Here are the stats:
