My regular Tuesday Long Run had to be rescheduled to this coming Friday which left today the opportunity to grab another mapped run. I decided to nail the streets just north of me along the base of the rimrocks. The map:
The weather was nice, about 30 degrees F and no wind so it was shorts and couple of long-sleeve t-shirts. I leashed up Bart the Dog and off we went. Early on, in contrast to yesterday's litter, I saw this:
So maybe the litterbugs haven't improved on the choice of beer.
Here's a view early in the run. Lots of hills for me today.
There is still some snow and ice on the roads but it's getting better.
These people have a big rock next to their driveway.
Bart the Dog loves these activities.
We passed the Myers Trail trailhead. A friend of mine and I built those steps at the bottom. We need to get back there and add some more. This trails goes to the top of the rims.
Up another hill.
We took a shortcut on a sidewalk that connects two dead end streets.
Part of the run took us up to one of the city's water stations. It's gated but it shows as a road so we ran up it.
When we finished up, Bart the Dog was happy to roll in the snow.
The running report:
A close up of the map.
