It’s Tuesday so I target a 7-mile run and this ladder around Centennial Park is just perfect but when I designed the route I missed two blocks that were added along the way. Shelley is on a vacation so was happy to join me and we enjoyed the cool temperature but not the heavy smoke from some fire burning to the west of us.

Run 108 - Around Centennial Park
September 5, 2023
Center Al and 36th.
We noticed that some houses look like they have cisterns and these were on the unpaved streets so we wonder in they are in the city or just the county.

Run 107 - Finishing off a West End Neighborhood
September 4, 2023
The morning sunrise was worth getting up and out for.
These streets today are sort of closed neighborhoods in that the area is bounded by 46th on the west, Shilo on the east, Rimrock on the north, and Rangeview and an irrigation ditch on the south. It’s a bit upscale and some of the houses are pretty big.
This section only has one way in so I am sure that the fire department required this additional egress point when the plans went in for review. This opens on to Poly Drive.
It’s a holiday so Shelley joined me at 7am this morning to finish off this neighborhood we’ve been pecking away at for that past couple weeks. It had rained overnight so the humidity was high but the air temperature was cool making it pleasant enough for a run.

Run 106 - East of Will James Middle School
August 30, 2023
I can’t claim that there is much unique on this route as it’s just a quiet neighborhood of mid-60s homes.
That was it. I should mention that it was extremely windy and heading west was like running uphill. After we got back we joined the group on the patio for a beer.
It was the usual Wednesday night group run with the Rim Runners and since it was the 5th Wednesday we met at Craft B&B on Grand Avenue. I brought a map that varied from the traditional route and would cover an entire neighborhood I needed to run as well as pick up a few blocks here and there that were orphaned from previous runs. Shelley and Brad were up for the change.
