It’s Tuesday so another run with Jerry and we have picked most of the low hanging fruit, that is, running the streets near our meet up place. Today, we headed to the Southside and had a mile or two in before we got to streets I hadn’t run on yet. The plan was to run this triangle of streets between South Park and the sugar beet factory and that’s what we did, however, due to our chatting and not looking at the map, I had us miss a turn so we had to back track to get the southeast corner of the route. On the upside we knocked off a few blocks that weren’t part of the plan so I won’t have to do them in the future and we got in nearly 8 miles.
It’s a very interesting part of town with a mix of all kinds of houses and apartments, some businesses, bounded on the south by Western Sugar’s processing plant where sugar beets are turned into sucrose.
It was bit chilly out and it it snowed for the entire run.
Here’s the planning map. I forgot to copy it before the run so this is what it looks like afterwards.
