Run 124 - Finishing up the Southside

September 30, 2023

It’s a Saturday so I went to the usual Rim Runners meet up and only a few runners showed up and they seem prepared to run the traditional route so Shelley and I headed south to finish of that part of town.  We parked at Orchard School and headed out under a beautiful sunrise.

Today’s route finishes up the streets of the Southside of Billings.

The backside of Riverside Middle School.

We ran Jefferson and Monroe which are lined with the Billings version of row houses.

Interesting sights along the way.

Some of the streets are not legally in the city so they can have a wider range of pets.

We stopped by the corral we’d been to last week but for today Shelley poached some apples before we got there.

DanWalt Gardens, a nice event center.

Kratz street wasn’t shown on the map on each side of Washington but we ran it anyway.  The was a nice house on the east end of it.

Riverside Middle School.

Hmmmm…….

OK, this isn’t a junk car, it’s mine.

We are done with the streets of the Southside except for the end of Sugar Ave which we’ll pick up when we do Garden Avenue.

Run 123 - Finishing off Copper Ridge

September 29, 2023

It’s a Friday so it’s a 5:30am run with Shelley and she joined me to finish off the Copper Ridge subdivision that I started on earlier this week.  It wasn’t as dark as it might have been since we were running under a full moon.

I’m using a new phone, an iPhone 14 Pro, and it takes amazing pictures.  With the lighting in the one below it looks like a movie set.

On Rimrock Road, heading west, into the moon,

It was a bit chilly to start but felt fine by the time we were done.

Some final thoughts
